
The band toured the Boston club circuit, and were guided by Frank Connelly their first manager. The band then began working with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. The band signed a record deal in 1972 and dropped their eponymous debut album in 1973. The album was followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which catapulted Aerosmith into international fame and recognition. The albums featured famous songs like "Dream on", "Walk This Way" as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's early five albums were all multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks are regarded as some of the best hard rock albums of all time. The group began to experience the effects of the hectic life of touring, recording and living in a community, as well as using substances as the decade was progressing. Tyler and Perry were often called the Toxic Twins, for their legendary intake of stimulants and heroin. Aerosmith Behind the Music includes numerous videos that showcase their bond. Tyler was more committed to Aerosmith and disliked Perry for his aloof attitude. Perry was also jealous of his priority of women in his life. Aerosmith's decline in popularity was likely due to the conflict between Tyler and Perry and their once-friendly companions.
