Bashar Jackson, who is also called Pop Smoke, his stage name Pop Smoke (July 20th 1999-February 19th, 2020), was an American rapper and songwriter. Victor Victor Worldwide & Republic Records were his label. He was working together with UK drill artists 808Melo Axl Beats and Yoz Beatz Pop Smoke rose to prominence as the founder of in the Brooklyn drilling sound. Welcome to the Party was the single that he released from his debut mixtape Meet the Woo, which came out in July 2019. It was remixed by American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British musician Skepta. Both songs came out in the summer of 2019. The debut mixtape of Pop Smoke Meet the Woo was released by Pop Smoke in April 2019. The single Welcome to the Party is the main single. The song was remixed with Nicki Minaj in the first version, and Skepta with the second one which was released in the month of August in 2019. The use of UK drill production was evident throughout the track and across his discography. It was in part due to collaborations together with British 808Melo producer. Mpr Flexin, Dior and other songs are also well known. After the popularity of Welcome to the Party and other singles such as War together with Lil Tjay & 100k On a Coupe featuring Calboy he began collaborating with other artists on songs. Gatti was a collaboration he had in December 2019 with JackBoys, Travis Scott in December 2019and it is the album's last track.
